18 months ago 'The Leaf' identified that a centralised business system was needed, to not only streamline the business, but to execute a new supply chain strategy.
Using Jan Vydra's supply chain knowledge and experience gained from previous roles, 'The Leaf' designed the entire framework for the Fresh web system .
With the intention that the fresh web system would integrate all the business touch points from; cusotmer ordering, inventory management, entire supply chain management, deliver a paperless pick and pack system through too a general business managment tools with the ability to run comprehensive reports.
In order to get this framework up and running a developer / Coding team needed to be assembled to turn the framework into reality. We met with a number of firms, but the one that was up for the task with Chris Dobbin from the Qube group.
Working together over a 12 month development period, the first fresh web platform was launched in April 2011 and was a roaring success, efficiencies within the business were see instantly and errors in procurement dropped dramatically.
Within months people began to find out about Fresh Web and a number of articles were written about the opportunity that other busienss could gain from using the new Cloud based platform.
Australian Fresh Leaf herbs being a herb grower and marketer of Garnishing food products, was not in the business of marketing software and did not want this to become a diversion of focus.
After a long discussion with Chris Dobbin from Qube, they agreed that they should form a new company 'Nucleus Logic' that will look after the development and licencing of the Fresh web system.
Nucleus logic now operates as a stand alone company and is a criticle partner to 'The Leaf', as we keep changing the Nucleus logic platform to inncorporate new features to grow and streamline our business into teh 22nd century.
